Work Experience

2023 - now

Senior Bioinformatician,
Yemaachi Biotech

As a Senior Bioinformatician, I contribute to the growth of the bioinformatics and machine learning department at Yemaachi Biotech to accelerate the development of cancer detection and cure strategies, with the ultimate goal of reducing the economic burden of cancer on the African continent.

2021 - 2023

Lead Bioinformatician / Bioinformatician,
My Intelligent Machines

As a Bioinformatician (July 2021 ‐ May 2022) and then Lead Bioinformatician (May 2022 ‐ Jan. 2023) at MIMS, I worked on the development of interactive augmented intelligence systems, enabling precise biological simulations from the early stages of drug development to assist companies in creating targeted and personalized therapies.

2019 - 2021

Postdoctoral Research Fellow,
Beaulieu- Saucier Pharmacogenomics Centre, Montreal Heart Institute, Université de Montréal

I was responsible for the design, development, and documentation of Mendelian randomization and pheWAS tools and the integration of analytical tools onto the PGx federated platform. I developed workflows and tools for quantitative and qualitative analysis of genomic data to study shared risk factors in cardiovascular diseases and cancers.

2010 - 2014

Bioinformatician,
The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA, Evry, France)

As a Bioinformatician at the National Sequencing Center (April 2013 ‐ Oct. 2014), I created workflows for quantitative and qualitative analysis of metagenomic data, which included gene prediction, metagenome comparison, and taxonomic assignment using high‐throughput sequencing technology. During my tenure as an Bioinformatician at the National Sequencing Center (Sept. 2010 ‐ Feb. 2012), I contributed to the development of software for NGS data processing and polymorphism analysis for human genetics (studying liver cancer and Alzheimer’s disease).

2008 - 2010

Intern in Bioinformatics,
Mathématique, Informatique et Génome Laboratory, National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA, Jouy-en-Josas, France)

As an intern in Bioinformatics (Sept. 2008 ‐ August 2010), I contributed to the development of a search engine based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques designed for microbiology researchers, relying on bibliographic surveys and automatic classification. During my role as an Analyst (April 2008 ‐ Sept. 2008), I generated and processed termino‐ontological resources and authored procedures detailing the ontology fusion process.

2006 - 2008

Public Speaker in Molecular Biology,
Palais de la découverte (Paris, France)

As a public speaker in molecular biology, I gave lectures on genetics to the general public( groups of ten to thirty people) , I also prepared lectures and practical work.

Education

2015 - 2019

Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine, Université Laval, Quebec, Canada
